Wax Modelling Workshop

A three hour introduction to how jewelry actually starts, where you build your own piece out of wax using a heated pen, no metal skills and no drawing needed.

Wax is the most forgiving material in the studio. It melts, it moves, it cools, and if you don't like what you made you can melt it again and start over. You build your shape up , so nothing is ever a mistake you cannot fix.

You will work through:

* Safe practice at the bench
* Using the electric wax pen and reading the temperature of the wax
* Building form, volume and texture by hand
* Designing something that will actually survive casting
* Cleaning and refining your model before it leaves your hands

No torch. No hammering. No experience. Just three hours of making something out of nothing.

Casting
Wax is the first half. Turning it into metal is the second, and that part is up to you. At the end of the session we weigh your model and you choose brass or silver, then we quote you before anything is sent. Casting takes one week.

You also choose how it comes back: raw straight from the mould, or finished and polished in our studio. Ready for pick up or delivery.
