One Day Wire Wrapping

In one evening you will learn to shape, wrap, and secure wire by hand, discover its history, and learn how to keep practicing safely at your home studio.

You will learn:

• The history of wire in jewelry, from ancient Egypt to today, and why it remains one of the oldest crafts in the goldsmith's hands

• How to choose, straighten, and prepare wire for wrapping

• Bending, coiling, and wrapping techniques to turn a single length of wire into a finished form

• How to take an idea of your own and wrap it into a piece

• Finishing and securing every end so your pieces are comfortable and ready to wear

Included: all copper and brass wire, tools, and bench time, one to one guidance throughout, a small group, and refreshments.

You leave with: One piece you made with your own hands, finished and ready to wear that same evening, and the skill to keep wrapping anything you can imagine from now on.
